Understanding the actual Ancient Hebrew Scriptures, what they are, what they are not, and what their purpose was (and remains) is a matter of life and death for people all over the Earth. The misunderstanding of the actual Hebrew Scriptures has caused more harm to the human experience than all other ill-conceived notions combined in recorded history.

The Bible is arguably the most influential and misunderstood book in the history of humanity. In 2007, Time magazine asserted that the Bible “has done more to shape literature, history, entertainment and culture than any book ever written”.

“A Communiqué” is defined as “an official announcement or statement, especially one made in the media”.

Our aim is that every single person on the planet will know they were born spiritually perfect and righteous and why this is true. This communiqué unapologetically declares what untold thousands of people around the world have learned primarily through the teaching of Gospel Revolution Founder and President Michael Lilborn Williams. As of this writing in March of 2022, Michael has been studying, contemplating and teaching the Bible for over 50 years.

This article is addressing and is being written for our current generation and for all future generations to come forever.

As this is being written during the third decade of the 21st Century, and even as the Bible (and religion in general) continue to lose influence around the globe, it is still important now (and will be for a long, long time to come) to understand the Bible’s history and what is actually contained in its pages.

Why?

It is vitally important to understand the Bible because the mistranslation and misinterpretation of the Bible, and the tens of thousands of mostly Christian denominations and cultures it has spawned, have been responsible for more wars, death, suffering, torture, slavery, racism, sexism, homophobia and just outright carnage than any other single document and movement.

Please notice Time magazine’s assertion about the Bible failed to mention these inarguable results of Christianity’s fanatic desire over two millennia to get people to adhere to their specific take on what constitutes proper faith and etiquette in order to “gain heaven and shun hell” as told in “their book”. Why did Time fail to mention those things in 2007? Because they were in the business of selling magazines. Christianity still held significant sway then (and still does as of this writing). If they told the entire story, they would have had the wrath of organized religion come down against that particular issue and their company in general. They would have not have sold near as many copies of the magazine.

Granted, there have been many Christians and Christian organizations who have done many fine things. However, the negative effects of religion on society so dwarfs the positive, that it barely warrants a mention.

As you read this proclamation, you will notice many highlighted words. These highlights will link you to significant teachings on that particular topic. If you are interested beyond this piece, there are thousands upon thousands of hours you may spend watching, listening, and reading the Gospel Revolution’s teachings on these things.

In a nut shell, we have come to the same conclusion that Paul and Apollos came to in their teachings in the so-called New Testament.

First of all, there is no “hell” in the Bible as commonly understood as a place of eternal punishment by God. The late Gary Amirault did exhaustive studies on the history of “hell”. As of this writing, they can still be found on his Tentmaker website.  Like Gary’s website here and other references we give which are highlighted, our recommendation or drawing attention to them doesn’t mean the Gospel Revolution agrees with everything ever said by them. It simply indicates our desire for you to gain as much knowledge about the corrupt history of the so-called Church and the Bible as possible. Because of the information age which blossomed in the 1990s, we have at our fingertips and just a click away the actual meanings of all the words in Bible which were originally written in Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic. And all these words have actual meanings that, again, have too often been misapplied, mistranslated or misinterpreted, sometimes purposely by duplicitous men and women (mostly men).

Words like gospel, grace, peace, world, last days, church—all words from the Bible—all have specific meanings and when read in context, with a proper understanding of what is their actual definition, frequently give us a completely different picture of God, his story and his relationship with the human race than presented by traditional Christianity.

One of the mandates of the Gospel Revolution is to “redeem” these terms and words from the Bible and to present with an accurate interpretation what they actually mean in context. Words and terms like falling from grace, salvation, redemption, the end times, the last days, and the end of the world just to name a few.

Let’s take “church” for example. The Greek word for church is “ecclesia,” from which we get the terms “ecclesial” and “ecclesiastical.” The word was in use centuries before Christianity showed up. It referred to a socio-political gathering of citizens, who were called together to attend to the concerns of their city. Paul used the word to simply indicate he was talking about “the body of Christ” which he taught was everyone on the planet. We concur with Paul.

Everyone is in Christ, is part of the body, part of the church, if you will.

So, how did a simple word eventually morph to mean at first the Holy Roman Catholic Church, then the Protestant Church, then whatever building you go to on a Sunday morning to sing and be taught?

Well, the history of how that all went down, how the Bible came to be, how fear of “hell” came into vogue, why Catholic priests and nuns eventually were not allowed to get married, how the pagan holidays of Christmas (the Winter Solstice) and Easter (a springtime festival) became holy to Christians, the political machinations and the behind the scenes maneuvers  which were done to give us what we call the Bible, are all readily available to you if you are interested in doing your own research. It is quite the story of deceit and corruption. It unleashed thousands of years of torment on humanity.

Again, the history of the Bible and Christianity has been well-documented in numberless books and articles. That history fills libraries around the world and is just a few clicks away today. The history of the Gospel Revolution (GR), however, is another matter. It is not nearly as well-known but deserves to be heard. Touching its highlights here will also help give you an understanding of how Michael, and thousands of others in the GR, have come to the conclusion we have thus far about the Bible, what is contained in it, and how Michael became a biblical expert.

#1 thing for you to know…The Bible is NOT the Word of God. The books of Genesis through Revelation (commonly known as the Bible), NEVER make the claim that it is the Word of God. Parts of the Bible do describe what the Word of God was and who became the Word of God. But the Word of God is not the book we call the Bible.

Michael Lilborn Williams’ life in the Bible started as a young boy in rural Tennessee. During the next 70 years he would learn the truth about the origins and the validity of the Bible. But more importantly perhaps than that, he would discover what the Holy Scriptures actually are and what they are not. More about that coming up.

Little Michael was told as a child, what billions of little children had been told (and have since been told) for thousands of years. The Bible says “you must accept Jesus Christ as your own personal Lord and Savior to go to heaven and avoid hell”.

The Bible NEVER says that, not once. One would think if it were that critically important, that your eternal soul would be at stake because of it, it would be in there somewhere. It is not.

We found out the traditional notion of heaven and hell do not appear. At least, they do not exist in the actual Scriptures (the ancient Hebrew text) OR even in the New Testament writings. And there is a significant, often a matter of life and death, in knowing the difference.

We also discovered that the Creator finished creating at the resurrection of Christ and the coming of the Holy Spirit. There are no more miracles—not at least the kind purported by so-called believers around the globe.

Over the years, of all the discoveries we have made about the Bible, perhaps the most important is that the Bible MUST be read IN CONTEXT.

What most preachers and teachers of the Bible have done throughout the centuries is to take a verse here and a verse there from the Bible, out of context, to make whatever point they were trying to make. We call that approach being verse damned. Entire denominations and religions have been formed out of just one or a couple of verses taken out of context. It is intellectually dishonest and lazy to do that.

Could you imagine, for example, taking a few disparate sentences out of “War and Peace” or “To Kill a Mockingbird” and say this is what those classic books are about? Of course, not!

Even though the New Testament writings have been historically considered part of the “Holy Scriptures”, they could not have been. The “Scriptures” are indeed referenced in “the New Testament” over thirty times. However, they could not be part of the holy writ which they were referencing, because “the New Testament” had not been written or codified when they were talking and writing about the Scriptures.

Christianity often refers to the Hebrew Scriptures as “the Old Testament” and the last third or so of the Bible as “the New Testament”. Neither are accurate.

In reality, “the Old Testament” was the ancient Hebrew sacrificial system of sin atonement by the shedding of the blood of bulls and goats. It was instituted by God (as was everything) in the actual Scriptures to foretell a story, as a foreshadowing.

The Old Testament was temporary.

“The New Testament” is a completely different approach. It was initiated by the shed blood of Christ, the Messiah, the Anointed One, the Lamb of God who took away the sin of the world.

This will never end.

The New Testament writings are replete with massive contradictions and disagreements between Christ, his disciples and between the disciples. Paul despised the treatment he received from, and the doctrines of, James, Peter and John. In addition, the Jesus we read about pre-Cross is a whole lot different than the one we view after the resurrection.

Having written that, there is one thing ALL the figures in the so-called New Testament agreed on. They ALL were in agreement on what the Scriptures were. There was no debate on this point. The Scriptures were (and are) the Books of the Law, Psalms and the Prophets. Period.

”And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.” Luke 22:44

If one is not viewing God and God’s evolutionary relationship with humanity through the divine nature and prism of the Scriptures in their entirety and in context as defined by Christ himself, one will go awry in one’s understanding as Christianity did and as Christian Mysticism has done now, too.

If there is a Creator (and we know there is), it is not a stretch at all to know the story as outlined in the Scriptures were God’s creation, as well.

Jesus himself precisely defined the Scriptures for us as such and told us many times and in many ways that these pre-ordained passages, these manipulated stories by the Creator of everything, were ALL about him! “Search the Scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me,” he was quoted as saying in John 5:39.

According to “The Mathematical Probability that Jesus is the Christ”, the reason why prophecy is an indication of the divine authorship of the Scriptures, and hence a testimony to the trustworthiness of the Message of the Scriptures, is because of the minute probability of fulfillment.

Anyone can make predictions. Having those prophecies fulfilled is vastly different. In fact, the more statements made about the future, and the more the detail, then the less likely the precise fulfillment will be. For example, what’s the likelihood of a person predicting today the exact city in which the birth of a future leader would take place, well into the 22nd century? This is indeed what the prophet Micah did 700 years before the Messiah. Further, what is the likelihood of predicting the precise manner of death that a new unknown religious leader would experience, a thousand years from now – a manner of death presently unknown, and to remain unknown for hundreds of years? Yet, this is what David did in 1000 B.C. Again, what is the likelihood of predicting the specific date of the appearance of some great future leader, hundreds of years in advance? This is what Daniel did, 530 years before Christ.

If one were to conceive 50 specific prophecies about a person in the future, whom one would never meet, just what’s the likelihood that this person will fulfill all 50 of the predictions? How much less would this likelihood be if 25 of these predictions were about what other people would do to him, and were completely beyond his control? For example, how does someone “arrange” to be born in a specific family? How does one “arrange” to be born in a specified city, in which their parents don’t actually live? How does one “arrange” their own death – and specifically by crucifixion, with two others, and then “arrange” to have their executioners gamble for his clothing (John 16;19; Psalms 22:18)? How does one “arrange” to be betrayed in advance? How does one “arrange” to have the executioners carry out the regular practice of breaking the legs of the two victims on either side, but not their own? How does one escape from a grave and appear to people after having been killed? Indeed, it may be possible for someone to fake one or two of the Messianic prophecies, but it would be impossible for any one person to arrange and fulfill all of these prophecies.

The science of probability attempts to determine the chance that a given event will occur. A professor at Westmont College, has calculated the probability of one man fulfilling the major prophecies made concerning the Messiah. The estimates were worked out by twelve different classes representing some 600 university students. The students carefully weighed all the factors, discussed each prophecy at length, and examined the various circumstances which might indicate that men had conspired together to fulfill a particular prophecy. They made their estimates conservative enough so that there was finally unanimous agreement even among the most skeptical students. However the professor then took their estimates, and made them even more conservative. He also encouraged other skeptics or scientists to make their own estimates to see if his conclusions were more than fair.

Finally, he submitted his figures for review to a committee of the American Scientific Affiliation. Upon examination, they verified that his calculations were dependable and accurate in regard to the scientific material presented. For example, concerning Micah 5:2, where it states the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem, the professor and his students determined the average population of BETHLEHEM from the time of Micah to the present; then they divided it by the average population of the earth during the same time period. They concluded that the chance of one man being born in Bethlehem was one in 300,000.

After examining only eight different prophecies, they conservatively estimated that the chance of one man fulfilling all eight prophecies was one in 10^17. To illustrate how large the number 10^17 is (a figure with 17 zeros), the professor gave this illustration: If you mark one of ten tickets, and place all the tickets in a hat, and thoroughly stir them, and then ask a blindfolded man to draw one, his chance of getting the right ticket is one in ten. Suppose that we take 10^17 silver dollars and lay them on the face of Texas. They’ll cover all of the state two feet deep. Now mark one of these silver dollars and stir the whole mass thoroughly, all over the state. Blindfold a man and tell him that he can travel as far as he wishes, but he must pick up the one silver dollar that has the special mark on it. What chance would he have of getting the right one? Just the same chance that the prophets would’ve had of writing these eight prophecies and having them all come true in any one man, from their day to the present time. In financial terms, is there anyone who would not invest in a financial venture if the chance of failure were only one in 10^17?

Why would God do it this way?

We don’t know. There are some clues in the Scriptures but as of this communique, we can only state for certainty what God’s purpose was from the foundation of the Earth, and what its beautiful outcome was. We know not why God did what he did. Nor why God responded in the Scriptures the way he did with progressively more animus, antipathy, anger and out-and-out murderous vengefulness as delineated in the Scriptures. But that is not the whole story.

It all came to head and culminated in the blood sacrifice of Christ at Golgotha.

We do know this, almost all progress and creation throughout history started from a fire, a battle, a conflagration. And God’s pre-Cross interaction with his creation certainly was that.

Then “on Earth, peace” came.

Regardless of why it went down the way it did, we very much respect God’s process from the old to the new, just like we respect all people’s path to a peaceful existence.. Anything else would be disrespectful and self-righteous. Ultimately, the completion of the story in Jerusalem, thousands of years ago, ends with Grace and Peace. The Gospel of Peace and the Gospel of Grace. The Good News. And there is NO bad news in the Good News!

The Scriptures (the Law, the Psalms and the Prophets) are to the Gospel what the U.S. Constitution is to the United States of America. Without the Scriptures, there would be no Gospel, and without the Constitution there would be no United States. The U.S. has functioned most effectively when a majority of its citizens agree that the Constitution was the basis for the country’s existence and needed to be adhered to as interpreted by the Supreme Court of the U.S. Agreeing to that principle produced the end of slavery, equal rights for people of color, women, and the LGBTQ+ community. These were all wonderful manifestations of the Apostle Paul’s understanding of our absolute equality in Christ regardless of faith, behavior, national origin, gender or any other identifying marker.

While many of the American crafters and citizens of the founding documents and the country itself, would attribute providence to their formation, we do not! For us, this is where the analogy ends.

The United States, in its ultimate potential based on the Constitution and Declaration of Independence, is a phenomenal concept. However, it was not divinely directed.

One of the USA’s founding fathers, President John Adams said this about the Constitution in his Inaugural Address to Congress, “Employed in the service of my country abroad, I saw the Constitution of the United States in a foreign country…I read it with great satisfaction as the result of good heads prompted by good hearts.”

Now, that statement we can wholeheartedly endorse. Many other statements about God’s direct involvement in the affairs of U.S. Revolution and many other moments in human history in the last couple millennia? Not so much.

As previously stated, God has not been in the creation or miracles business since the time of Christ. Still, the experience of America and its Constitution is illustrative for our purposes here.

While the ranks of those understanding that humanity and God are now actually “one” has grown significantly over the years through the Gospel Revolution, many other folks went on to become atheists, often disgusted with anything to do with religion, Christ, the Bible, etc.

Michael was never mad at God or Christ or the process he went through as a young man to get free from the shackles of religion. Lots of other people are still angry to this day about their own sojourn through Christianity and legalism. They argue the whole concept of a patriarchal God, a creation in 7 days, the Garden of Eden, all the “miracles” of the Scriptures and Christ, etc., are nothing more than a fairy tale made up by “men” to control other people.

At face value, one has to admit the things that are purported to have happened in the Bible seem at best fanciful and at worst crazy. Therefore, many have thrown the proverbial baby out with the bathwater. Obviously, this is totally understandable. No matter how well articulated the case for the accuracy of the Scriptures and their purpose (again, when read in context and translated accurately), they don’t care. Those “words” are in there: law, blood, wrath, plagues, hell, Noah’s Ark, etc., etc.

Now in all candor, if you look at those things that are described in the so-called “Old Testament” and apply them to any time after the fulfillment of ALL prophecies and the execution of Christ, you would have to have a screw loose to think those things could happen today. You would have to at least question the God of Israelites. Yet still, millions upon millions of people think God-ordained “miracles” are not only possible but still happen. They don’t happen. To think they still do, one would have to be seriously deceived, suspend rational thought, be naïve and/or just be plain ignorant of the purpose of the Scriptures and their total completion.

NOTHING predicted in the Bible is still to come. That was the whole purpose of the “Anointed One”, the predicted Jewish Messiah and Christ’s entrance onto the scene.

Institutional Christianity, starting ed with the granddaddy of them all, Roman Catholicism. The “Holy Roman Church” so royally messed the whole thing up that billions of people over thousands of years have suffered immeasurably, died and continue to due to religion. The scope of what we have discovered, the history and corruption of religion, and how untold numbers of people (including Michael) have escaped the religious chains that once bound us is too large, of course, for this piece. It is available in its totality @ gospelrevolution.com.

However, it’s important to know some of the conclusions Michael has come to and what they are visa vise the teaching of the humanity’s perfect, righteous, and equal standing as God This is the Revolution of the Gospel—the true Gospel!

  • We don’t believe in God. We know God.
  • Believing is for things like Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny, and the gods of religions—all religions.
  • The word “religion” actually means “to put back under bondage”—to re-legion. Some religions today are more drastic in their teachings which leads people to being put back under more extreme bondage than others.
  • All of them, and we mean all, demand something of you to earn your way or get closer to God or create Karma or whatever. Some are just nicer than others about it.

However, the true Gospel, the good news, is just that—news or information for the brain. The news is you are perfect, righteous, holy, and sinless. As righteous as God. In fact, humanity as a whole is now God. How could that be? Because that’s how God wanted it. He didn’t ask anybody’s permission to make us all righteous!

It is called a New Testament, one that is the fulfillment of the old, benefitting all of humanity forever here on good old planet Earth. This planet, according to the now completed Scriptures, is the home of Heaven. Heaven resides in EVERY human heart. At the time of this writing, most of us just don’t know it, yet.

We say we know God, because we know ourselves and many thousands of others. We see God everyday picking up groceries, filling up their gas tanks, taking their dogs for walks, etc. God is everywhere and everyone.

To us, it is logical to know and think there is a Creator. There is such a glorious creation that we haven’t really begun to study or fully comprehend. For this generation, and for who knows how many more generations to come, we are just scratching the surface.

Where there is a creation, any creation, it is logical to think (and to know) somebody, or some bodies, made the thing.

If you ask the most dyed-in-the-wool atheist if somebody made their cell phone, if they are honest, they will, of course, answer “yes”. Then if you ask them, do you know who they are? Do you know where they came from, their origins? Do you know their name? Do you know what they look like? Have you ever heard their voice? They will answer, “No”. Then you ask them but you know somebody made your phone. “Yes.” Why? Because it’s logical!

That’s how it is with the Creator of everything. It’s logical to think there is a creator, even if we don’t know everything about God, it makes sense somebody or something started all of this. And if that is true, is it possible that God did some wild stuff for a while, actually for a short while, for some purpose and maybe left us some clues? Is it possible that for a period of human history God was manipulating certain people and events to tell a story for the benefit of people for eternity by having them write it down?

We not only think it’s possible, we think that is exactly what happened.

Why would God have done it this way? Who knows? But it works. We base our computers, our clocks, and all technology on the way the universe operates. The Scriptures (the actual writ not the entire Bible) works perfectly in context, too. It tells us of what was coming. The “end of the world” and the beginning of “a new creation”.

Have you ever thought about human sexuality? Of course, you have. But what we mean is how sex actually works. How goofy, bizarre and strange it is. Sex is really weird. However, we just except it as fact, and practice and study it if we want to enjoy its full value and benefits. If we do that for our bodies, maybe we would do well to consider a similar approach for the benefit of our souls (AKA our brains) through the Continuous Persistent Repetition (CPR) of the Gospel.

Most people “believe” or think there was a Creator, because that’s how they were raised and perhaps, at least subconsciously, because it is logical. So, if you’re not going to be an atheist and just shuck the whole thing, than it’s not a huge leap to think that the God who created the Milky Way, the galaxies, the planets, and sexuality, could have manipulated some of that and some people for a short period of time in an admittedly crazy way—at least crazy to our modern way of thinking.

As it turns out that is exactly what we in the GR know happened, if we know anything. That’s what the Hebrews and their Scriptures were designed to do, to tell and demonstrate a story which would lead to the day and age we live in now. All humanity will live this way forever. This will eventually lead to a whole different kind of planet—true peace on earth. How soon? We don’t know that. Maybe a thousand years from now. Maybe a lot closer for you who are reading this in the distant future. In the meantime, we get to enjoy life the best way we can. Not a bad deal.

Please take this away from your reading, that the he God of the Scriptures is done creating, done doing wild stuff like creating planets, galaxies and sexuality. It is our turn now to create and solve the problems left here on the terra firma. That’s logical, too.

The last words Jesus said before he died was “It is finished”. Yes, God’s old way of doing things and relating to the creation was done. Now, we get to live in the new. Knowing that can bring incredible progress, breakthroughs and healing. It is not just a coincidence that almost all the progress the human race has made has been in the last two thousand years. What is in our spirits, our hearts if you will (God, the spirit of all of humanity past and present and all the information that ever was and ever will be), slowly but surely connects with our brains (our souls), we continue to move forward. The abolishment of slavery, women’s suffrage, the downfall of fascistic totalitarian regimes and of Soviet Communism, gay and transgender rights, cures for all kinds of diseases, destigmatizing mental illness—we’ve made great strides.

Obviously, we have a long way to go. And progress is never a straight line upward but it is irrefutable that life has improved for many people in the last two millennia.

When we come together in agreement on what the Scriptures are—and on why acknowledging their divine nature and their completed purpose in Christ is paramount—we will see our wonderful equality among all people manifested.

May it be completely understood and fully realized soon.

May we all know our true identity as one and as the Christ—perfect, righteous, holy, sinless, and 100% spiritually equal with the resulting peace flooding our individual souls and on our collective planet.
