Our study to find Christ in the Hebrew Scriptures continues this week in Psalm 22. We look at a Christ’s cry from the cross “My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?” Asking, what does this mean, did God really forsake Christ?
As we go verse-by-verse through the chapter we examine each specific prophetic declaration of the cross, specifically “the crimson worm” (which we learn isn’t even a worm!). But we discovered that this “worm” tells the entire story of redemption!
As we end the chapter, we discover the prophetic culmination of the cross, which includes every nation, tribe, and tongue becoming a single righteous generation.
