Thank you for answering questions I’ve always had. Yet no one could answer. My new understanding is so freeing.
To clarify please, are you saying that neither hell nor the lake of fire as the Bible describes them exist? If they don’t exist, then what is the Good News or the Gospel, if not deliverance from eternal condemnation in hell? What is the Good News regarding if it is not the message that through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ, we are saved and delivered from the otherwise certainty/inevitability of spending eternity in hell and instead assured of and qualified to spend eternity in Paradise with God? That’s not a rhetorical question. Thank you.
That is a great question. I do not think that when we post here it’s automatic that Mike or Daniel repsond here. Maybe ask at the donate online section, they have a comment area there just for comments and questions. I know questions do get attention but these guys are busy too. I think we, the GR people, are studied enough to answer most questions.
I wonder why God had to be angry and slam the condition of sin on all of us because of Adam, and then take it off through Jesus. Why go through all that if you’re going to see us perfect and equal in holiness as Jesus? Seems goofy. I’ll be honest, God doesn’t seem as loving as we say He is but it doesn’t bother me much either. Nothing can be proven until we die.
I do say Jesus was judged for all humanity and that is the good news. Thus, I never think about the Lake of fire and Hell but I do know “hell” (sheol) means “the grave”.
Most christians never fast or witness because in their hearts, they know they are good to go when they die. They just dont have the verses to back it up. I never think about when I die. I’m trying to stay healthy and happy and that’s good enough for me. Great question and I hope other GR folk comment to your question. Be interesting to see what open minded, hungry for the truth people think.
Hi Mike, I attended your conferences years ago in the 1990s, including when you preached alongside Jim Richards and Clare Bruan in Edmonton, Alberta at one conference, and also in Calgary, Alberta independently.
I listened to this podcast recorded on July 24, 2025. Could you please clarify for me the following? Do you preach ultimate reconciliation, where no one is going to be in hell or the lake of fire? If so, doesn’t the Bible state otherwise throughout the new testament books, including in the book of Revelation? Thank you.
My understanding is that Christ died for everyone and made atonement for everyone. However, that atonement while established, only benefits those who make the decision to receive Jesus Christ as their Savior. Is that correct? Thanks
