Get ready for another denomination destroying Powercast!
We open the mailbag in the first half of this show to answer a couple questions and concerns. First we hear from Al Vitali in response to our comments about “evil having no power”. He explains that evil only has power when we give it power.
Then we hear from a woman who has been listening to the GR and has discovered her confidence in Christ for her salvation, redemption, and righteousness. However, she still questions whether or not she can “scripturally” have a same sex relationship or marriage. Michael responds by examining what a scriptural marriage is and whether or not same sex marriage is spiritually acceptable. Then Daniel responds about some of the New Testament verses that speak about homosexuality. He answers the question; do all homosexuals have their part in the lake of fire? Finally, they answer whether or not being gay has any bearing on your spirituality.
Lastly, we hear from a long-time-GR who feels we have participated in the act of “mudslinging” by degrading the Christian Mystics. We debate whether or not it is a good practice to challenge belief systems, call false teachers names, and confront bad doctrines. We discuss if “walking in love” means we are not confrontational. All in an effort to be more effective in our Gospel reach.
Then the boys come in hot discussing “The Doctrines of Baptisms”. We look at this week’s command of Christ which states we should “baptize in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost”. We look at multiple interpretations of this command both in the Bible and in several Christian denominations. We examine the baptism of Christ by John the Baptist, the baptism in the Holy Ghost (Pentecostalism), ceremonial washings, water baptism, and the baptism into Christ.
Michael concludes that the whole foundation of water baptism is based on a lie – which states a change is required (born again experience) which makes the whole act a lie!
You two are the Lewis and Clark of our day. Discovering unexplored territory and with each new teaching you discover untold treasures that have always been there but we didn’t know they were there.
That you took the time to answer … and with such compassion…it is deeply touching.
For opening the door so I can be specific to biblical references if any… this, was a show of true care (love)in action.
Thank you, thank you,?thank you. To leave this pain behind …. overwhelming hope. ♥️
You referenced about the Father and I think you mentioned that relationship was with Christ as the only begotten. But what about other references including what’s known Lords Prayer. And Jesus did reference gods fatherhood in stories and parables. Would you please clarify.
Please clarify the significance of the baptism with John the baptist
