Michael and Daniel begin this Powercast with their patented jocularity.
They have fun revealing this show was recorded before the recent solar eclipse but they knew we would be here to hear it! We find out: what are the only “signs of the times” which remain, why Michael says, “I have been right every frickin’ time and they have been wrong every time”, about self-fulfilling prophecies, about “wacko people who think wacko things”, why there was nothing spiritual about the eclipse, and how one fractal of the Gospel destroys all Christian doctrines.
“We are being irreverent because they deserve no reverence,” says MLW.
The program takes a serious turn when Michael proclaims, “If you are following the teachings of Jesus, you do not know the truth of the Gospel!”
This is all in the context of the guys diving into this week’s “Command of Christ – Denying Yourself”. It leaves the boys asking, deny ourselves of what? 46,000 denominations are sure to all have a different list of things to deny. Then an excellent look at this commandment leaves us realizing once again it’s all about Christ. We are NOT following Christ. We are NOT followers of the teachings of Christ.
We then review some of the previous commandments and teachings to see if our conclusion that we are not (and cannot) be followers of Christ’s teachings and commandments is true.
