For two guys who admittedly are going down this road of researching and revealing “eternal life” with “trepidation” and “eyes wide open”, our dynamic duo sure do get after it with zeal and boldness.
This Powercast begins with an ancestry update on Michael’s prostitute second great grandmother and her massive Kansas City pugilist judge of a grandson who “used to beat the living crap” out of anyone who would disrespect his court.
Then we’re reminded of why it took Michael so long to go public with the Gospel of Peace, how all of our questions since have come through the Gospel of Peace, and why it has taken over 20 years to commence the trajectory we are on now regarding the pursuit of eternal life.
Daniel and Michael continue “redeeming” biblical words that have been historically mistranslated and misused, like aeon, world, cosmos, eternal, everlasting, zoe life and psuche life. Michael echoes the promise from the Hebrew Scriptures that there will be no end of the world!
Our “Un-Teachers” commit to look at each time the word eternal or everlasting is used in “the Gospels” but not before reminding us of the understanding (or lack thereof) about heaven and hell in the Jewish mindset and understanding what exactly they were looking for when they sought “eternal life”.
We learn what Jesus was speaking about when he teaches on eternal life and gain greater understanding of the “heart of the law”.
Good Morning
I looked up what Jesus Christ said what is eternal life in John 17 3 said this is eternal is know Him .
Love Daniel
I am starting to wonder about the two of you as you seem to be contiually changing your thoughts about what seems to be a totally different direction away from your original teachings of freedom and redemption that gloriously set me free over 20 years ago. I think you have now thoroughly confused me.
Unraveling the truth is so useful, amazing, important BUT, how does the world get to study and come up with the truth so that man will study war no more. Will mankind do the same study and research as the GR. How can the Bible be used and properly learned without a new translation.
it is currently written to keep mankind from knowing the truth how do we maintain and hold this information for all time? Do you think the people will know the truth and be set free without a new translation?
Just think…the gospel of peace has been pursuing every human being all their lives. Your heart has always known that Jesus made you perfect at the cross. So, why is it that not everyone has accepted that they are perfect. It is because of the preconceived notions of religion that permeate the globe and have been insinuated into the minds of men. Religious thought suppresses the truth of the finished work of Christ. Religious teaching is intolerant of any other idea, especially what the Apostle Paul calls the gospel of peace. The most glaring school of religious thought that resists the idea that all people are free from the law, fully redeemed and perfectly holy is Christianity. But, the gospel of peace has never ceased to pursue even Christians.
Life changing GR I’ve been listening since Jim Richard’s in Edmonton you guys always do a great job
Your wisdom & understanding is incredible
Love you guys
Dan
Sorry, but I think you did not do a good job in explaining the Scriptures concerning the disciples sitting on 12 thrones, etc. You skipped over that pretty fast. Why ?
I agree with one thing you say – I did some research years ago and found that no one in the O.T. had any concept of life after death
I feel like you have a “cycle of death” in your teaching that we do not necessarily go into heaven or hell when we die. So you have this cycle of people being born, grow up,die and while that is happening more people are born, grow up and die. Cycle of death. Not much comfort in that ! Yet Jesus said death was an “enemy’ and that he
came to destroy it
Let me see if I understand this…the old testament has no mention of hell then comes Jesus and the new testament and the concept of hell is brought front and centre? This is the same Jesus that is the saviour of the world and the prince of peace? I am very glad you emphasized that the OT has no teaching on hell. I think that is one of the keys here. It is my understanding that Paul also had no teaching on hell- at least those books that scholars attribute to Paul So indeed the point is righteousness. The religious mind wants righteousness. It is so desperate for righteousness that it will accept self righteousness as a substitute- hence Christianity and all the teaching of hell and damnation. Thank God for the Gospel that MADE us righteous through the Cross.
