“A seatbelt isn’t going to be enough to keep you in your seat on this one!” -Michael Lilborn Williams
Michael and Daniel jump right in today addressing a very popular description of God — “Abba Father”. Michael says, if we don’t understand God correctly we’re going to have an identity problem. Abba-Father has been taught as a very intimate, infantile, understanding of God similar to us crying out “daddy-daddy”. There’s only one problem, this term isn’t in the original text but was later added by translators and EVERY Aramaic Bible Scholar (Abba is an Aramaic word) declares that how we have come to understand this word in our western world is WRONG!
So buckle in and get ready for a clearer more accurate understanding of what “Abba” means and how it is so much more than crying out to your Heavenly-Daddy!
Around the 29 minute mark is the statement that something has happened with christians which has caused them to not have as much compassion and empathy. Well, the truth us, christians have been that way for decades.
IF they really believe that most of humanity will go to hell and be tortured and burnt forever, and they never fast and pray for souls and witness, they have no compassion. How can they love God and love their neighbor as themselves and not give a crap when they never witness and allow most of humanity to burn forever? Like a great preacher once said, “you have to be a good fake to be a christian”, or something like that. The odd thing is, they fool no one in society that they are serious and loving.
Christians create athiests. Athiests dont want to belong to that goofy group of fakers. I dont either. They have the Sabbath day and the birth season wrong and dont care to change it. The lazy fakers just want to belong to a club in case God gets mad. What jerks. A little bit of being critical is warrented here. I want to be meaner but it wont help anyone.
It was Adam who first said i am…when Adam was hiding in the garden and God said…Adam..where are you? Adam said…here i am. Funny…but true…oh boy!!!
