Staggering truth! Amazing insight! Unquestionable evidence that the writing of John in Revelation is an intentional, open and personal attack against the Apostle Paul and his teachings and followers.
Don Bartlett revealed to the max his brilliance and scholarship on the book of Revelation. What a great leap of understanding he provided.
Wow. John is attacking Paul? EH? So Jesus gave the book of Revelation to John to personally degrade Paul? Ironclad UNQUESTIONABLE? Say WWHHAATTT?
Clark, another way to look at this is that Peter and James gave this to John to write.
Their conversation may have gone something like this:
James says, Hey guys, Paul has this Road to Damascus thing with Jesus convincing a lot of people that they are free from works. John, I want you to write a book saying you got a revelation on the Island of Patmos from an angel. Have the angel say that works is how you get redeemed. That ought to do it.
Paul writes to the Galatians: But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse!
So, the book of revelation was NOT given to John by Jesus ? Though i want to, i still have a hard time believing that it might be an outright fraud…
