Honesty, Truth And The Gospel by Jeff Robertson | Aug 16, 2016 | Videos | 2 comments 2 Comments Vic d'Obrenan on August 16, 2016 at 11:37 pm Without the Cross what would have been the consequences of God’s anger? It seems to me we have eliminated eternal hell as a consequence- which is good. So then God’s anger would be fairly benign in the sense of a Father to his children. There is anger undoubtedly but not the kind that involves eternal separation etc. So if that is the case why all the fuss over God’s anger. What I see in the Cross is the eternal expression of God’s love which in view of the foregoing is immeasurably more profound than his anger. Reply Jeff Robertson on August 17, 2016 at 12:44 am Eternal hell was never a consequence. Eternal spiritual death was a consequence until the cross not only corrected that, but actually recreated humanity in God, incorruptible to spiritual death ever again. As for the fuss about anger, many people believe you can’t love and be angry at who you love some times… at least they won’t let God be angry at who he loves.
