Daniel joins Michael at the Gospel Revolution Headquarters in Clarksville, Tennessee for this week’s Powercast. As the guys discuss their recent experience preparing the upcoming conference they rehearse the hermeneutics of Catholicism, Protestant Christianity, Eastern Orthodoxy, and Judaism. All of these require a mediator and refuse to accept the Gospel Hermeneutics that state the Scriptures are “Divine to Divine”.

Daniel uses one example, a verse about Jeremiah the Prophet, who was born to declare from the Divine about the Divine, “before I formed you in your mother’s womb, I knew you”. This is not a verse we can declare is about us but most of the Christian world does! Michael goes on to express the folly that produces but when you apply good hermeneutics, understanding this is regarding divine to divine (or the one who will declare the divine), we find our complete and ultimate freedom!

Then the guys look at another world religion’s hermeneutics, Islam. We see that unlike Christian theology, Islam leaves the salvation of the individual entirely in their own hands. It’s based on their ability to follow Sharia Law. Although they still have mediators who teach and interpret the law. But in comparing Islam to Christianity, it seems as though of the two Islam is a bit more forthcoming and honest.
