Matt 11:28-30 (MSG) . “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me–watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”

What happened to “questions are the lifeblood……?
Ok ,This is the first time I’ve ever listen to y’all. Charles Slagle recommended you. And I hear that you say that the New Testament is not scripture. Wow! That is the first time I’ve ever heard that. Can you expound on that?
I believe Jesus tells us in Luke 24:44 – Jesus said to them, “These are the words I spoke to you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about Me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms.” 45: Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.…
The Bible mentions that only Paul knew and studied the scriptures. I think this is right along with James, John and Peter all disagreed on what is required for redemption or perfection as they did not know the scriptures. Many contradictions in the New Testament but none in the Scriptures. Others may need to chime in here.
The ” in context” study of the Bible is crucial for accurate understanding. Not everything stated in the New Testament is accurate with what the scriptures say
Example of context – Cooking ground beef.
In the context of making taco’s, chop it up into tiny pieces and brown it in a pan, add a little water and the taco packet or flavoring and blends it all together.
In the context of making hamburgers, do not chop it up but rather make a patty out of it and then cook it. Two totally different ways to use ground beef with two different results.
One thing Don and Mike encourage us to do here is ask questions and question everything. They teach us ” how to think, not what to think”.

Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father, and our Lord “Jesus Christ”. Let’s notice in Hebrews, when “Christ Jesus” (Heb 1 – 9) changes to “Jesus Christ” (Heb 10 – 13), it thereby UpGrades him from set on right hand of a “Majesty” on “high” in “heavens” to set on right hand of “God” (in heaven, “higher than the heavens” on high). For as Jesus of “Christ–>Jesus” he’s still mediator of a “new covenant”, but as Christ of “Jesus–>Christ” he’s mediator of a “new testament”. For as “Christ Jesus” he’s still “between” God & men: 1Tim 2:5; But it’s in “Jesus Christ” we are “reconciled” to “God”: 2Cor 5:18. The “grace” of our Lord “Jesus Christ” [be/is] with you all. Amen.
Love the wisdom at the very end about strong meat, diligent listening and such and then right when we are all excited from where it ended we get ” well thanks for listening folks, see ya next time… ” Making sense every week and it is east to understand thanks to you guys.
I still like The Great High Priest CD set the best of those that I’ve heard and this is more of it. Ask any christian ” In the old testament how did God decide to have or not have favor on the people ” and most will not know it was the only High Priest and the sacrifice.
Off topic- Sin was unbelief. Does that explain about Job at the end of chapter 1 and some other places where it says something like ” in all this Job did not sin”- because sin is unbelief and he did believe in God?
Any of that right?
